Dotticure

I have had some uninspired manicures lately. This one I really liked. I was in a mood for something different. I have the "too many colors nothing to wear" syndrome.

I decided to do a dotticure. Something neat and easy with my dotting tools and it quenches my desire for more than one color.

The base is OPI's Tickle my Francey. Then I used Zoya Goldie and Collette, Ulta Army of One for the dots.My impatience shows on some of the smudges. I think it turned out nice, though!

Hello lovelies!

I've been sitting at over 100 followers on Facebook for awhile, but my blog took awhile to catch up. Last night I hit that milestone! Yay! *confetti*.  So this one is for you all of you! Thank you so much. I never thought I'd have this many followers. I appreciate each and every one of you.

I loove purple. It's second on my list of colors behind pink. So this is a very purple-rific giveaway.  Up for grab are THREE brand NEW polishes: Zoya Mira, OPI Purple with a Purpose and Julep Melissa.

Mira is a Blue toned medium purple with dusty lavender tones and an opaque cream finish.  For a muted yet colorful purple that isn't too dark.

My 1st Lynnderella(s)

I have been waiting for this nail mail for what feels like FOREVER! Connect the Dots was a huge lemming for me. Every time I saw a photo of it I wanted it. Finally it is mine! I'm really glad my last name begins with D. Still waiting on some back order, but I can be patient now.

So of course now that I have it I had to do a mani with it. I chose Fly because it's such a gorgeous color and so glossy.

Pure heaven. I can't stop staring at my nails.

Trying to show the gorgeous shimmer which doesn't photograph well. Look at that shine!

Breezi watermarble

Breezi is described on the Zoya.com website as:
Soft, dusty, dirty medium cerulean blue with an opaque cream finish.  A super chic  high-fashion denim look for nails.
While I'm not sure I agree with the denim, as it is very bright, it is in fact a gorgeous cerulean color. I've been coveting it since I first saw the shade in a nail art tutorial. When I saw it, a long with some of the other colors I'd wanted, were part of Zoya's Summertime collection--which I picked up in that AMAZING deal they had two weeks ago--I couldn't say no.

I had Easter nail art on all last week. I decided that the very first chance I got I'd wear it.

Initially I wanted to do a water marble with the Sunshine collection--which consists of gorgeous sparkly shades like Apple and Reva. But I couldn't resist Breezi.

I wanted to do a spiral watermarble.Being that this is only my second watermarble attempt I didn't quite manage to get a spiral. A few nails have the circular pattern, but the others don't.

Still I really like how it turned out even if it wasn't what I originally planned. It reminds me of Chinese Pottery or a tidal pool.

OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know?

After a whirlwind romance with color for the past couple months I'm hitting the darker shades for April, it seems. Last week I wore Lubu Heels for FIVE days! Holy Cow! I didn't get any photos of it do to a busy schedule, but I am in love with that shade. It's soo gorgeous.

Last night when I was debating on colors I thought I was going to go colorful again. But wouldn't you know when I opened my OPI drawer there was Wooden Shoe Like to Know staring up at me. I really adore the OPI Holland Collection, as I had gravitated towards Pedal Faster Suzi before making this my ultimate choice.

This could easily be a two-coater,  but I did three just to smooth out any imperfections in my nail painting skill. It's super-glossy even without topcoat on, and it has this gorgeous shimmer to it.

As for the color itself I have no idea what to call it. Is it a dirty purple? It for sure has delicious purple undertones.

I call it hot chocolate.

To make a pun on the name, Yes, I "wood" like to know how to describe this color.

Pictures!

1st day of spring Mani

I feel like I've been wearing dark colors and/or green for ever. So I went bright in celebration of the first day of spring. Though it's been quite springy here for the past week.

My color of choice? OPI "I Eat Mainely Lobster". One of my absolute favorites from the Touring America collection. I swatched it as soon as I bought it, but this is my first time wearing it. It's gorgeous.

My accent nail which I used Nicole by OPI Rainbow in the Sky-lie sandwhiched beneath OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston. It turned out to be a very complimentary jelly for  I Eat Mainely Lobster. And then stamped it with Konad white.
